Pygmy Owl
Only 17 centimeters tall is this pygmee Owl. Some smaller than our smallest owl in the Netherlands, the church owl of 23 centimeters. i photographed this owl in Funland during a tour with Jari Peltomaki.Just without a hide and I used a tripod. This owl was very calm and sit down for a while. he was a bit hidden by branches, so I had to look for a good free sight. De finnish people are very well in finding birds and owls. Therefore I organise a bird trip to snowy Finland in April 2012. We also could see Eagles and Black Grouse. More information will appear soon on our website.
