Jan works with Nikon digital cameras. By combining them with an extensive range of Nikon lenses he is able to handle just about every conceivable situation. Always within easy reach, his Gitzo tripod provides the essential stability and helps him to define good composition. All of Jan's fragile photographic equipment is carried in a Think Tank camera bag. The added advantage of this bag is that apart from holding his entire photography kit, which includes a Nikon 500mm VR lens, it also has enough space for his Macbook Pro. The compact size of this photo rucksack makes it much more convenient to take on board aircraft as hand baggage. Jan also uses an array of accessories, ranging from cable clamps to ladders.
